אודות המקהלה – About the Ensemble

עמותת קולות ישראל הינה עמותה רשומה ובעלת אישור, הפועלת לקידום החזנות בישראל.

בעמותה חברים חזנים ממקהלות המחלקות לתרבות תורנית בנתניה מודיעין כפר סבא ורחובות.

המקהלות הופיעו בעשרות קונצרטים בארץ ובעולם, על מיטב הבמות ועם טובי החזנים.

מקהלת אנסמבל קולות ישראל – מורכבת משלש מקהלות חזנות בישראל, מנתניה מודיעין כפר סבא ורחובות. כל מקהלה מייצגת את עירה ופועלת ומופיעה מטעמה, ומתחברת מדי פעם למקהלת ענק בשם אנסמבל קולות ישראל להופעות בקונצרטים יוקרתיים ושבתות חזנות מיוחדות.

אנסמבל זה המכיל למעלה משבעים זמרים מגיע עם רפרטואר ענק של יצירות חזנות, שירה יהודית, מארשים אהובים, אריות מפורסמות וקטעי מיוזקלס ואופרה המעובדים ו"מעוברתים" לפסוקים מן המקורות.

המקהלה מלווה את צמרת חזני וזמרי עולם והופיעה בכל היכלי התרבות בישראל, בורשה, סאן אנטוניו, דאלאס, פריז, לונדון ועוד.

מייסד המקהלות הוא יעקב (יענקל׳ה) רוטנר המעבד את כל השירים מנצח עליהן בקונצרטים ובשבתות חזנות.

.The Voices of Israel Ensemble, conducted by Mr. Yaakov (Yankele) Rotner, numbers close to 70 Cantorial singers of Liturgical, Israeli and Operatic music

The joint Ensemble, formed about ten years ago, consists of singers from three choirs: Siftei Noam Choir of Netanya, with 20 members, which was established 30 years ago, Shirat Modiin Choir of Modiin with its 30 members from the Modiin region, established in 1999 and Rinat Hakefar Choir with 20 members from the Kefar Sava area

The choir members are from many walks of professional life among which are: Professors, Doctors, Physicists, Engineers. Hi-Tech personnel, Lawyers, Farmers and high rank retired IDF officers. Most serve as Cantors in their local Synagogues

The Voices of Israel Ensemble has conducted fully orchestrated and/or piano accompanied concerts by invitation in concert halls and Synagogues throughout Israel and world-wide.  It has accompanied internationally known Cantors in major Synagogues of Israel including at The Great Synagogue of Jerusalem. Over the years, the Ensemble has given invited concerts in London, Paris, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Vilna and Warsaw

Each of the three choirs also performs in local Synagogues and gives full concerts in its respective vicinities

The repertoire of the Ensemble is quite extensive.  It includes Cantorial works, original compositions (fully orchestrated)  by Yankele Rotner.  Additionally, the Ensemble sings Israeli and Chassidic songs as well as Operatic pieces adapted to appropriate Sabbath and Holiday prayers

The Ensembles Conductor and Choir Master, Yankele Rotner is well known for over 30 years as one of the leading conductors, composers and arrangers in the world of Jewish Music
